Crisp Point Lighthouse Long Exposure

Getting to Crisp Point involves taking a dirt road that is frequently full of potholes. It can take the better part of an hour just on the dirt road. On this particular day, it had been raining the night before, so not only were there potholes, but there were puddles galore all the way. Unless you’re driving a well-built 4x4, it’s best to take it slow going through the puddles. At any rate, it was cloudy when I arrived and there was a bit of wind and wave action, though nothing too severe. I took several images around the grounds and on a whim, decided to do this image as a longer exposure. That had the effect of flattening the water and stretching the clouds, making them almost look like they are bursting toward the camera.
