Grays Reef Lighthouse

Grays Reef Light was completed in 1936 to replace the use of a moored vessel as a source of light. It is located in northeastern Lake Michigan about 3.8 miles west of Waugoshance Island in Bliss Township, Michigan. The lighthouse was manned during shipping season until 1976, after which it was automated. As of 2016, the lighthouse is privately owned. It can be viewed by tours operated by the Sheplar's Ferry Company out of Mackinaw City.
