Lightship Huron

The United States lightship Huron (LV-103) was built by the Consolidated Shipbuilding Company of Morris Heights, New York. It was commissioned as Lightship Number 103 in 1921 and mainly served in Lake Huron near Port Huron. In 1935, she was repainted with Huron on her sides. After 1945, she was the onlylightship that was completely painted black. She was decommissioned in 1970 and ownership was transferred to Port Huron the following year.
