New Presque Isle Lighthouse in the Moonlight

I drove about four hours to get to the New Presque Isle Lighthouse on this particular day. I arrived when it was already dark. The goal was to get pictures with the light on and stars showing. I was hoping to also get Milky Way shots, but the timing wasn't right.
The first shots came out completely dark except for the light in the tower. I brought out a couple of flashlights to help and even tried using my car's headlights to help, but none of those attempts really worked. Fortunately, there was a full moon rising and after some time, there was enough light to illuminate the lighthouse and the grounds. I still used a flashlight to add a touch extra light to some of the shadow areas.
While I was out there, about four porcupines were on the grounds. They didn't seem to be bothered by me at all!
I drove home after this and stopped for a bit at a rest area to actually rest. I didn't get back until 5 in the morning!
