South Haven South Pier Light

I’ve photographed the South Haven lighthouse many times over the past couple of decades. Only recently did I photograph it from the north side. It gives a different perspective of the lighthouse and the lights mounted on the catwalk. This was almost a shot I didn’t take. I was getting set to pack up and leave and noticed the reflections in the river. Most reflection shots you might see taken at this lighthouse are done from the south side, with the reflections all pointing back to shore. In this case, I circled back toward the end of the pier, looking back toward shore. Calm waters and a longer exposure helped “flatten” the water, with the result you see here!
