Manistee North Pier Light

I had made the 3-hour trip to Manistee in the hopes of getting a nice sunset shot. Mother Nature had other plans! When I got there, the sun was nowhere to be seen and there was a brisk wind and accompanying waves continually rolling toward the shore. I watched as the waves crashed against the pier of the lighthouse and started taking a lot of pictures. Eventually, the sun set, and the light came on in the lighthouse tower. I tried to time my shots as the waves hit the pier and kept rolling inland, seeking patterns where there were multiple waves hitting at the same time. This was one of my favorite shots of the night.
