Manistee North Pier Light

I set out on a cold November day to try to get a sunset shot at the Manistee North Pier Light. As luck would have it, the sun was totally blocked by the clouds. I made a batch of different shots both from the beach and from the pier. After the sun had set, I took this shot from the beach. There’s just a hint of pink just above the horizon, the green water and the rusty tower added just about the only color in the scene, but it has a character all its own!
