I had heard a few years back that the Tawas Point Lighthouse light was scheduled to be turned off, so I scheduled a few days there to get pictures of the lighthouse at night with the light showing. I did get some nice shots, but I also took an afternoon to shoot the lighthouse while there were some nice puffy clouds stretching across the sky! I had to watch my step, however, as there were green frogs in the grass where I was set up! I took many shots from different angles and waited for the wind to push the cloud cover along so I could get a pleasing pattern. While I was out there, a squad of three low-flying military jets flew practically overhead. The last one even did a little tilt back and forth as I looked up!
