White River Lighthouse

The White River Light Station was built in 1875 using a design similar to several other lights on the Great Lakes. It sits not far from the mouth of the White River where it empties into Lake Michigan. The light was decommissioned in 1960 and the facility is now operated as a museum. The Fresnel lens was removed from the tower and is on display in the museum.
